The 2014 allocation numbers have been on their website for a year. (See the WayBack Machine. )

The "2015 March Funding $521,174" is a retroactive addition to the 2014 allocation, but:

"Due to the release of the March 2015 allocations late in the fiscal year, the funding will be treated as part of municipalities’ 2015 MSI Capital allocations for program delivery and reporting purposes. Additional 2015 MSI Capital funding allocations will be determined as part of Budget 2015."

Budget 2015 is promised March 26. Why announce this two weeks before the budget? Strange.

Public Budget Display
This is a wonderful idea the council of Pincher Creek has. They do seem to value transparency.
March 16, 2015
The Town of Pincher Creek will be displaying the 2015 budget at the Co-op Mall the week of March 16 – 22. Council and administration will be on hand at various times throughout the week to discuss and answer any questions you may have. Come out and see how your tax dollars will be spent in 2015!

We plan on doing the same here.
I am a little surprised to see that they are doing it prior to seeing the impact of the March 26 provincial budget.

Here are the 2015 MSI allocations:

MSI Capital Component $1,197,745
BMTG Component $333,900
Sub-Total $1,531,645
Operating Funding $145,940
Total Funding $1,677,585

For comparison, the 2014 numbers you posted:

MSI Capital Component $1,771,588
BMTG Component $333,900
Sub Total $2,105,488
Operating Funding $131,924
Total MSI Funding $2,237,412

-plus the extra $521,174 for 2014 announced two weeks ago.

They have a graph here - can you make sense of it? I guess our share of the shrinking pie will become smaller since allocations are based on population.

I think our portion may get smaller for a little bit, but the next census is next year. Hopefully our population will have climbed since the last census.
Which is 48% of the calculation for funding
