It is OK for a politician to comment on something like this.
Politicians are human beings and they can't tell if a project will be successful or not.
During the forums the candidates suggested encouraging businesses and affordable housing projects.
John Irwin was just doing that.

I like how any time they show Crowsnest Lake it's calm. Must have taken some patience to find a day like that. Since, we all know that Crowsnest Lake is pretty much the windiest place on earth! LOL

Thanks for your comment B B.

I totally disagree with Anonymous 7:29. There is an important distinction that must be made between "encouraging" a business and "promoting" a business. Irwin's appearance in the video crossed the line and is in the "promoting" category. The charitable interpretation is that Irwin was duped. I won't get into the less charitable interpretation -- use your imagination.

My favourite line in the video is from Mr. Bradley, "it's called ethical investing".

"Ethical investing'? This coming from a son, who, given Power of Attorney, left his father destitute in a nursing home. The good folks of CNP were taken in by the charm, smooth talk, big dreams, just as family and friends were for years.

Chloe,
Please tell us more!! Unbelievable!! He ripped off his own father??!!
Is this man the devil himself? Why is the mayor his buddy? What a story!! Why hasn't the media grabbed hold of this?

I'm glad the project flopped. My condolences to all those that invested and lost their money to these snake oil salesmen, but I'm happy to see the land by the Crowsnest Lakes remains untouched. That land is beautiful and unspoiled and available for all to enjoy freely without seeing cosmopolitan art-deco sprawls inhabited by rich yuppies from big cities and the States that have more money than brains.
You want the Banff experience? Go to Banff. You want the Canmore or Jasper experience? Then go. Don't let me stop you.
The Pass can be 'open for business' (as my dear friend John puts it) without bringing that racket here. Go ahead, flame away. It's my $0.02, I'm entitled to it and I'm sticking with it.

Best,
Harold
