Election 2013 Another one joins the race

Well it is official tonight the first of the incumbents Larry Mitchell announced  his intention to run in the upcoming election. Surprisingly during previous council terms most members of council stated if they would run or not at the last meeting prior to nomination day. Any way not one other member of council gave any hint of their intentions (other than Councilor Saje who had mentioned months back that he would not be running)

Larry needs to pack it in, retire and even settle into a Senior's Lodge. His time has come and gone, a long time go. As an individual he is humorless and stodgy. As a councilor he is out of touch with the people of today. He NEVER, ever got my vote. He will NEVER, ever get my vote. He needs to move on and just leave the politics up to other people. People need to see that and not vote for him. I think though, they will finally see him for what he is. An aged politician who's time peeked many years ago. Too bad he can't see it.

Can't wait to see his campaign platform.

Yes it is true. Larry Mitchell is well over the mountain age wise and should be spending his golden years otherwise engaged. He not what this community needs frankly because he is partly responsible for the chaos we are left with to revise, review and rewrite to enable us to go forward sensibly the way that this community needs. Wipe the slate clean and begin with fresh faces, fresh ideas and new spirit.

I have all the respect in the world for Larry. But it really is time to hang them up. Far to often politicians stay around for to long.

Larry and Aggie are very good people an most of us respect them very much. However, it is time for Larry to step aside and let others do what needs to be done. This has nothing to do with his age. It has to do with the obvious fact he was hoodwinked by the Mayor and did not hold his ground on any issue. Too bad he is running, he could retire and enjoy the respect he earned prior to last council.

Larry is two terms over due and has flip flopped on issues he previously supported last term. He never has or will get my vote. Stick a fork in him he is done.
