Looks like Andrew had enough of the gong show. I sure hope he speaks up before the election and tells us the "Unvarnished Facts and Truths" so the public knows what has really happened over the last three years

From the July 12 press release, it appears "Council" already had a (secret) meeting to discuss the hotel situation:

"On Tuesday, June 25th, Crowsnest Pass Council was informed that Medican will no longer be partnering with the Vachon Group on the construction of the hotel portion of the hospitality complex intended for the current Crowsnest Centre site.
...
While viewing this turn of events as unfortunate, Crowsnest Council sees this as a setback for the project, not the end of it.
...
Moving forward, the Council will weigh its options which includes continuing with plans to build the restaurant, and clearing the site to make it attractive for hotel development.
...
Council stressed that they are committed to continuing to listen closely to the community around how the site will be developed and will provide the community with regular updates on the progress of the project."

There were no non-secret meetings between June 18 and yesterday.

I appreciate your doing this. I don't think I could sit through one of those meetings without throwing tomatoes.

If you have time to do another topic, I would suggest: "Council sets priorities for balance of 2013", today's Promoter P.3

The only substantive items are:

- "Clean up industrial areas"
Isn't that why we spent all that money on the Peace Officers to do bylaw enforcement? But they need to make it a priority.

- "Correct civic address issue/Promote Crowsnest Pass as one Community (postal ...)"
Do they realise this means we will all need to get a new PO Box# and inform everybody of the change (since the same box #s are used in different towns)?

- "Gateway signs."
Poot.

What are these dimwits thinking by saying they want to go ahead with their plans, and listen closely to the community. They haven't listened to anything and have done whatever the consultants have told them to do. No thinking on their parts and NO input from the peopple. Now they want to screw things up even more. Go away you failures, that is the only good thing you can do for the people. You could not run a lemonade stand. Goodbye and good riddance.

In reference to 12:11:00 A's post;

I have never understood Canada Post's stance on this. All delivery routing is done according to Postal Code. All communities have their own Postal Code.

If a person lives in a newer community in other towns they may have the same box number at their Superbox as a person living one street over. For over a generation T0K 0E0 has meant Blairmore, T0K 0C0 Bellevue, etc.

Good point. So all they can really do is encourage people to use "Crowsnest Pass"?

My water bill is addressed to PO Box XXX Blairmore.

2:22,
In short, if I mail myself a letter, right now, with Box ***, Crowsnest Pass, AB, T0K 0C0, it would result in a guaranteed delivery without that nasty Canada Post stamp telling me that 'me bad'.

This is just a political non issue. Write whatever you feel comfortable with.
