My neighbour will not give, should I take

Interesting article in today's Nanton News regarding the attempted annexation of Ranchlands by the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass by Sheena Read

Couple of quotes

"Imagine having something, and your neighbour decides he wants it, and sets a plan in motion to ensure he takes it from you."

"Now imagine finding out that there’s not one, but two industries wanting to develop right in those areas that the neighbouring municipality wants, and that’s what the neighbour is wanting. There will be development, and that means taxes.
Imagine not telling your neighbour that such developments were going to happen on his land."

Note: Keep in mind one very important number $4325

Nice forensic work there! Absolute Kudos. And without even a hundred of thousand dollars study or revue! But we must lay back and let due justice take course. After all, we are all ready paying for it.

I'm kind of hoping that magic number is Marion's severance package! Could we be so lucky?? And as a citizen of this town, I feel like writing a letter of apology to Ranchlands. Very embarrassing. Didn't that article put us in our place? Yikes!

I hope everyone in Pincher Creek and surrounding area is aware that it is our outrageous mayor council and the whole administration that is responsable for this whole backstabbing venture. There was absolutely no input from the people in the Pass. We have suffered with this administration for almost 3 years, and have had to watch them ruin most of the organizations here. We, the citizens have been kept in the dark about every thing they have done. I for one and I know most other people are ashamed of this administration, for treating us and our neighboring community with such contemt.

Are you kidding anon10:16 we would have to pay a LOT more to get rid of her, BUT it would be worth every penny. She made sure she got rid of every competent person in this administration, so she would be the only one left to run things in my humble opinion.

12:50, I was trying to pay her out what I think she's worth. Do you think it's a bit high?? I hope our new council insists on actual qualifications for our town CFO and uses that as an out for us all! At whatever the cost in $$$.

Anon2:44 If you put it that way, yes it's too much. She's not qualified for that job at all, she is good at messing with numbers to suit administration. LOL LOL. I think they call it creative bookkkeeping.

Is the finance department under forensic audit? The Mayor, in his letter, is claiming they are required to do everything by the book. So why are they not auditing the finance department which is supposed to keep track of the other department's spending? Perhaps there is something personal in the fire department audit? Even if it isn't, it sure looks like it could be.
