I was saddened to hear on the weekend that the Bellevue Library is closing July 1st. Have not heard all the details yet but I was under the impression that the usage numbers were up?
I suspect there will be lots of comments when the paper comes out this week.
Will this result in a decreased costs to the municipality for their share of maintaining and operating one library?

This is so sad. I wonder who The Pass Herald is going to blame for the closing. The 4 Horsemen strikes again. Oh I just remembered that they got voted out in the last election. Who to blame now? The Herald will probably not even mention it. Don`t want to rock the boat that feeds you.
Brain Wave!!!!
Anybody interested in starting a petition to take too Municipal Affairs and have these bums thrown out.
I do not think this is something that is in councils control.Dean am I right.
Council has a member sitting on that board according to the paper it was a Unanimous decision.
The municipality does have a certain amount of control. Its true the libraries are ran by a board. The previous poster is right council does have a member sitting on that board. Plus the municipality makes a large financial contribution every year.
I am just so sad, all these young people talking about an Indoor swimming pool. All I want is my library in Bellevue to stay open.
Let me see what this council has done to promote this area:
Video Mill closes
Woods Travel closes
Bellevue Library closes
Did I miss any?
Oh yeah Pass Herald can`t blame the council for these closings. Maybe they can blame the 4 Horsemen again .
