Why not split all the candidates(mayor & councillor) in half over the two evenings.

Why should mayoral candidates be treated different?

the mayor said he was going to roll out his platform at this forum it sure sounds like he knew this was going to happen. you think the chamber has set this all up for the mayor???

Mr. Prince is not participating in the mayoral debate. So, 3 hours of the other two candidates?

Ninty minutes for each, Mayor Bruce could lay out strategic plan 2, 3, 4. We could be in line for 4 hotels and five coal mines, through the grape viny I hear Willy Wonka's chocolate factory is coming here.

Three hours? I'd better bring a pillow for my butt. It'd be nice if Mayor Decoux would bring some wine and cheese.

Probably won't be 3 hrs if there are only two candidates attending. Maybe 1 1/2 hrs would be more like it.

Plain and simple the Mayor Forum for three hours is nonsense. It will just allow a man that as made the choice not to "communicate" with the voters in a normal fashion. To grandstand and baffle everybody with his BS on strategic plan 2.
The forum either needs to be shorter or split into two. With the first part being for dignitaries, business and community leaders. With the second part for the rest of the folks.

Sure hope prince jumps back in. I can not handle hearing Decoux ramble on for two hours.

Why would you suggest that it be split into two parts, dignitaries and then common folk. You are definitely part of the problem far as I can see.
Ridiculous.

The chamber should only be holding one forum with equal time for all candidates, as well as the mayoral candidates. No preference should be allowed especially when Decoux will stand there and spout out his personal anecdotes (boring) and schmoozing with the crowd who are no longer interested.

Common sense should prevail because three hours is (zzzzzzzzzzrtgffwffwfwffv) nonsense.

Use you brains (especially if you don't even plan on attending) three hours is nothing compared to four (4) years, if wrong in picking the right candidate.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't need to go to the Mayors Forum, as I have already made up my mind on who I am voting for. I've heard them all, nothing any of them can say at this point would change my mind. I don't think I am the only one who feels this way. Bring on Oct 21.

Now the councilors, that's another story. I have 3 picked out, just got to fill out the last 3 positions. So that forum is a go for me.

"I've heard Painter speak twice. Do I need to hear it again?"

.... and what was your impression?

Impression? I don't think there was one.

As I said, "I don't need to go to the Mayor's forum," doesn't that say it all?

Tell you what, you go, and then give me your impression. I'll check back here for your answer, on Oct 11 or so.

Painter does not promise pie in the sky, heard him speak at his open house last night. No grand standing. This is what we need at the council table. Some common sense.

Bruce, with his grandiose promises is taking us into bankrupcy.

Next think you know he will steal Prience's idea and offer us a "casino and convention center with water park" at the old hospital site. All before the first snow flies.
